Kevin Tabb, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Kevin Tabb is the Chief Medical Officer for Stanford Hospital & Clinics and Associate Professor of Medicine at Stanford University Medical Center. Tabb joined SHC in 2005 as the Chief Quality and Medical Information Officer and was appointed as Vice President of Medical Affairs in 2008. In this role, he was responsible for leading clinical quality initiatives/regulatory affairs, providing support for medical staff affairs and clinical systems information technology. He has additional responsibilities for the Cancer Center, Menlo Medical Clinic, and Graduate/Continuing Medical Education.
Tabb was previously the President of Clinical Data Services for GE Healthcare Information Technologies. He also served as the Director of Disease Management and Clinical Data Services for MedicaLogic/Medscape and as a Clinical Informatics Analyst for iKnowmed. Tabb received his medical degree from Hebrew University’s Hadassah Medical School in 1993.
Tabb serves as an Editorial Board Member of the American Journal of Medical Quality and Biotechnology Healthcare and as a member of the Board of Directors of Integrated Healthcare Association.
