Community and International Work

Scientific Focus

Current Research and Scholarly Interests

In her academic work, Nancy Morioka-Douglas is currently focused on improving care for patients with chronic illness such as diabetes. In addition, she continues her life time commitment to working with underserved communities in her work with schools in East Palo Alto and Redwood City. Finally, she is able to blend these interests in her work in "ethnogeriatrics", the culturally competent care of ethnic elders.
