- Description: Three year project involving a public private partnership to provide obesity prevention interventions at one middle school in an economically disadvantaged mostly hispanic neighborhood. Body Mass Index measured at this intervention school and at a matched control middle school (no intervention provided). Interventions consist of increased acitivity with a pedometer program, healthy options and increased activity education through a manual, and fresh fruits and vegetables provided at lunch.
