Dr. Gowda has always been so helpful and understanding. She keeps thinking of different ways to help with my pain.
Dr. Gowda was very pleasant and easy to talk to.
She was great - knowledgeable and provided space for my questions.
Really attend, detailed and friendly with patient.
Excellent doctor. Easy to talk to. Good listener
Dr. Gowda was great. I didn't feel rushed at all and Dr. Gowda patiently listened to what my symptoms are and what I am experiencing. She was compassionate and kind. I would recommend her to others experiencing pain. Unfortunately, Stanford does not offer the aquatic therapy I need nor spinal stimulation due to having already had surgery. I would have really preferred to keep all of my spine care with them and not have to seek out those services somewhere else. That isn't Dr. Gowda's fault of course. She was great!
Muy amable y profesional.
Dr. Gowda is really wonderful. She's helpful, easy to talk to, listens, and is willing to fight for her patients' needs. It didn't take long before I felt like I was talking to a friend. Can't wait to see her again...not something I can say about all my doctors. She wasn't just interested in me as a patient, but as a person. What a blessing!
Everyone with chronic back pain should have Dr Gowda as their doctor.
She is a good pain management doctor 👠🠻!
Alpana Gowda, MD, made time for my appointment in her busy day. She clearly explained the diagnosis and gave examples of possible pain reduction solutions. I appreciated that she asked me how I would like to proceed. Her friendly, kind manner helped me to feel less anxious and more hopeful about the path forward regarding my diagnosis. She asked questions about my family and also engaged my daughter, who was sitting beside me, in conversation. I left the video interview feeling encouraged by Dr. Gowda's competence and knowledge regarding pain management.
I'm doing everything I can to manage my pain and will continue.
She's terrific.
Thank you
Very pleasant discussion with Dr. Gowda. I feel confident about my steps forward to manage my pain due to my decision to postpone surgery.
Excellent visit. We talked and she recommended things to me. Just what I needed to know.
She was very clear and easy to hear. I am very hard of hearing and my daughter helped me. We were very happy with Dr. Ganda, she was very helpful.
direct and to the point .
Dr Gowda was very kind and listened well .
Genuine. Concerned.
She just gave me the test like zap in varies part of my feet and leg
Dr. Gowda was an absolute pleasure.
She is calm and good mannered, easy to talk to. She is willing to listen and wanted to know my problems.
Dr. Gowda was so friendly and made me feel comfortable right from the start of the video visit. She told me a quick bit about herself, which was nice. Then moved right into how I could benefit from future treatments and talking to pain experts. Very upbeat and cheerful.
She was very clear and i felt comfortable and not rushed in speaking with her. She was a good communicator. I highly recommend her.
She explains things very clearly. She also provides care options and her thoughts about each choice, which I really appreciate.
I’ve always felt very comfortable in my interactions with Dr. Gowda. She is knowledgable, personable and professional. She is an asset to the Stanford Pain Management Service.
She does not give any supporting facts of why she is recommending treatment
communication for tests and getting them done quickly. This started in October and pain managment is not a possibility for treatment. We could have searched other options for treatment.
She was very thorough, explained everything well and answered all my questions
Dr. Gowda was extremely pleasant to communicate with and I felt confident that she listened carefully to what I said. This put my mind at ease by making me feel like the issues I’m having with regard to pain are being addressed as best they can. I very much appreciate her care. Stanford is lucky to have her.
Doctor Alpana Gowda listen to my concern and aloud me to come up with a solution to my care. She recommended other alternatives, but aloud me to choose, which I thought was important to me. She was very helpful in my care.
Dr. Alpana Raghava Gowda is very kind, caring, compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable. She can even make EMG painless for me. I am totally amazed by her.
Very helpful and friendly. Checked to make sure everything she said made sense.
She was excellent. Time will tell if her recommendations will work. Was patient and answered all questions. She made the connecting problems worthwhile.
Doctor was very pleasant and polite. I liked her a lot.
She was great easy to talk to right to the point....thanks
This was kind of a difficult visit since it was prior to getting other tests done. I really appreciate that Dr Gowda didn’t want to just throw some medication at me. She wanted to make sure she was really treating what was wrong.
The doctor was very efficient and explained to me my expectations regarding the procedure. I was very nervous but she made my visit comfortable by her calming me down.
she was perfect
excellent
Kind, gentle, helpful, understanding.
BOTH surgeons are extremely helpful, caring doctors, with a background of my type of surgery. 8 hr. back surgery!! Made me feel as safe as possible. There is fear of course but both surgeons level of confidence, background history, and obvious care of their patients reassured me. I am extremely glad they are my team A+ A+ A+ A+. Thank you Stanford. Doctors - Alpana Raghava
She is amazing.
Dr. Gowda was very nice and knowledgeable and she was very concern about what I'm going through.
Good dr. Kind.
Wonderful Dr.!
I really liked the doctor. She listen carefully to my concerns, and had some very good advice.
Dr. Gowda is by far one of the best doctors I've ever had! She is compassionate, thorough, knowledgable and approachable! I not only feel heard, but I feel like she is on my team!
Only good experiences.
Dr. Gowda was very helpful to me and very thorough in answering my questions.
Very good doctor.
I loved Dr. Gouda. Really took the time to be personal with me.
Dr. Gowda is an excellent care provider & she answered all of my questions.
Educated unrewarded genius with a smile.
Good!
Of all the doctors I've seen in my 52 years, Dr. Gowda is the best. I am never rushed. She is beyond thorough. She really listens and makes me feel heard. Our appointment isn't limited to my symptoms, but looking beyond to see if there are other areas of my life that may be affected. She gives me more information to learn from (articles, websites, etc) and she gives me homework to explore different options that may help my condition. I am always amazed by the care and concern that I receive during my appointment.
Best experience I have ever had for a nerve test. She was gentle, explained the process before she started and made sure that it was not a painful experience. I highly recommend her and she is a true example of experience and compassion to patients. She should mentor other providers to teach them about the true meaning of C-I-CARE.
One of the best appts. I've ever had. Very thorough, not rushed, very informative.
Dr. Gowda shows true empathy for my pain and concerns!
Very well informed & spoke in terms that were very easy to understand.
Dr. Gowda is great. Treats me like a queen. She is very warm and encouraging. She informs me re: my condition and wrote a pres. for swim therapy. I "ALWAYS" look forward to seeing Dr. Gowda. She is the BEST!
The actual Dr. didn't spend much time and relied on the conversation with the other 2 fellowship students gave her. Considering the seriousness of my sickness and the attention to my situation, I didn't receive the care I expected from Stanford. I didn't get any definite result out of my visit and it didn't help me as much. Still in a lot of pain. They referred me back to my general Dr., whom I'm not happy with anyway. They also said they will send a note, but there were not any, when I called! Saying we don't know and that is all we can do, is not something you would expect from a brand name like Stanford Care.
awesome. only way to describe Dr Jacob Evans. he stayed well past office hours to assist me in completing State Disability claim form and doing an EKG.
Couldn't explain to my satisfaction why I needed an injection since the surgeon needed to operate & could fix the problem.
Dr. told me I would experience tingling when in fact the testing caused great pain to the point of causing me to cry. She offered nothing except to finish up hurriedly & leave the room no one came back for 10 minutes so I left - very upset.
Doctor did not reply to 2 memos regard my pain issues.
Very satisfied with my doctors, I feel like they truly want to help me and my situation.
Provider has failed to respond to an important, time-sensitive follow up request sent through MyHealth two weeks ago and again last week.
Never prepared me for the painful electrical taser applied to my body. Never explained the volts of electricity going through my body. VERY disappointed and upset with this procedure.
She was kind, professional and made me feel confident in her abilities.
It seemed that Dr Gowda needed to talk to my cardiologist about certain treatment which I thought should have been done already!
Perhaps this was a busy day or some medical providers were absent but this provider was curt and would not answer questions I had about the EMG I received.
Dr. Gowda was thorough and scholarly in her exam. Very impressed.
Expected & pre appt info said to expect long office visit - Barely got 15 min.
I'm once again happy with service; just didn't have good amount of time to get my point across or questions, I was cut short, requested to stop my expression. (Needed more compassion & comfortable expression & response.
First time dr. visits (new) good experience, caring & concerning my health & wellness care & treatments.
Will never return to the doctor or clinic again. Doctor very short with me.
Awesome-
We received satisfactory care from me pain management clinic.
The doctor was not well prepared. The MRI reports had already been given but the doctors did not take the effort to ask his assistant for it. When I question the assistant, she gave me the copy.
She (dr.) was outstanding; very easy to understand & compassionate.
