To contact a member of the communications staff after hours, call (650) 723-6661 and request pager 15226. The on-call communications representative will return your call as soon as possible.

Stanford Hospital produces videos on a variety of topics, including general health news, our services, patient stories, highlights of our unique organization, Guest Services programs and Health Library lectures. Media Escorts
A representative of the Office of Communications must escort members of the media at all times during media activities at Stanford Hospital & Clinics. It is our policy that all media interviews, photograph or video shoots be coordinated through the Office of Communications. Photographs and Video

PATIENT INFORMATION
Patient Condition Reports
Stanford Hospital & Clinics does not provide patient condition reports to members of the news media.
Patient Privacy
One of our top priorities at Stanford Hospital & Clinics is to ensure patient privacy at all times. Any patient who will be interviewed, videotaped or photographed within Stanford Hospital must first sign a consent form authorizing the release of their personal health information. Members of the Office of Communications staff are authorized to obtain consent.
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
Stanford Hospital & Clinics Office of Communications follows all U.S. and California laws for releasing patient information to the media. To learn about these laws, please review the Guide to Release of Patient Information to the Media, which is based on the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and existing California law.
