Hearing Loss and Hearing Aids
Hearing problems are very complex and can affect our ability to communicate. Some can be treated medically while others benefit from the use of hearing aids. Current hearing aids are substantially improved over those available only a few years ago, are much more adaptable to different listening environments and active lifestyles, and also have considerable advantages in physical comfort and aesthetics. This presentation will review the communication effects of all degrees of hearing loss, explain how current hearing aids and related devices can help improve communication ability, and review the technology of the future.
