Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a serious condition associated with premature mortality, decreased quality of life, and increased healthcare expenditures and it is the ninth leading cause of death in the United States. Yet it is a condition that is not talked about very much nor well understood. This talk will focus on understanding the signs, symptoms and manifestations of kidney disease and strategies for prevention and treatment.
