The Department of Graduate Medical Education requests that you have a Stanford e-mail account.
If you already have an e-mail account that is in the form of username@stanford.edu, then you have a (SUNet ID) e-mail account.
1. If you do not have a Stanford e-mail account, AFTER JUNE 1, please go to the SUNet ID Web site and request your own SUNet ID.
NOTE: DO NOT do this before JUNE 1. If you request a SUNet ID before June 1, your request will be discarded and you will have to reapply.
2. Log on to http://sunetid.stanford.edu/
3. Click on Request my own SUNet ID
4. You do not have an University ID #, click on provide other information.
5. "Identify yourself" on the next page, complete all of the fields on this page and then click continue.
6. "Choose your SUNet ID" on the next page, enter your choice for a SUNet ID. The SUNet ID you choose will be your permanent, visible identifier at Stanford that cannot be changed. Next, click on the boxes below to indicate your agreement to the following policies, then click continue.
7. "Choose your password" on the next page, complete all of the fields on this page and then click continue.
8. Once you have created your SUNet ID, please send an e-mail to Ann Dohn adohn1@stanford.edu in the Department of Graduate Medical Education to activate your account, she will need:
a. Your full name
b. Your SUNet ID
Account sponsorship will take a couple of days. You can check the status of your e-mail account at http://sunetid.stanford.edu.
