How Healthy is Your Nursing Practice:
Legal Issues in Health Care
This program will review the overall civil litigation process and identify strategies to protect the nurse in today’s practice environment. Although laws and rules exist to protect the health and safety of society, by their very nature they intertwine with nursing practice.
Reviewing the legal system, legal terminology, and negligence and practice issues will help expand a working knowledge of the legal system and how this protects and impacts a nurse’s professional practice.
