Cardiac Emergencies & Heart Failure: The Beat Must Go On

This complaint of chest pain in the adult patient population typically is an indication of an ischemic event related to coronary arterial disease.

However, not all chest pain is related to acute coronary syndrome (ACS).

Using a case study approach, the complaint of chest pain and difficulty breathing will be examined.

Pathophysiology, assessment findings, pharmacology and treatment options related to several cardiac related diagnoses will be reviewed.
