Adult Critical Care Series: Pulmonary Dysfunction

This course addressed the pathophysiology behind adult respiratory distress syndrome and the complexity of its treatment.

It covered new modes of ventilator therapy and treatment strategies which included sedation guidelines and strategies to prevent ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP).

Pulmonary hypertension and neuromuscular disease were discussed.
