Volunteers provide practical and emotional support for homebound individuals and families.
Volunteer Postition Description

Position Title: Volunteers for help at home.
-
Opportunities: To help the recipient and/or caregiver with practical and emotional support such as:
-
essential transportation
-
friendly visiting
-
letter writing
-
reading
-
meal assistance
-
shopping assistance
-
light housekeeping
-
relief for the primary caregiver
-

Qualifications: To have the desire to work with persons who are health impaired, disabled or elderly and the people who care for them.

Place: Recipient's home

Training: General Volunteer Orientation & PIC Volunteer Training

Supervision: Partners in Caring Program Director
Volunteer Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age
-
Minimum time commitment of 2-4 hours a week for 6 months

Attend volunteer training and group meetings 2/yr.
Application Process

Print and complete the application form (PDF).

Print and distribute reference evaluation forms (PDF) for TWO people to complete.
NOTE: Each reference may return the completed reference forms via mail, fax or the volunteer may bring the completed forms in person on the date of their interview.

Interview with a Partners in Caring representative.
All volunteers are required to attend the volunteer orientation and attend our PIC Volunteer Training Program once accepted into the program.
