Stanford University Hospital - Managed Care Contracts
Stanford Hospital & Clinics (SHC) contracts with most major Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO) and most major Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO) for hospital services. SHC also participates in government programs such as Medicare and MediCal.

These lists are subject to change and may be different for the hospital and the doctors. You are advised to always check with under your individual health plan, insurance or network to confirm whether Stanford hospital and your doctor are eligible to use under your individual health.

Only Cigna HMO members may choose Stanford Hospital and Clinics physicians as their Primary Care Physician (PCP). All other HMO members (see contracted HMO list below) may see Stanford Hospital and Clinics physicians by referral from their PCP/Medical Group.
