Requesting Access to Epic Mobile for iPhone & iPad

Please follow the instructions below to request access to Epic Mobile applications Haiku (iPhone) and Canto (iPad).

Who can request Epic for the iPad (Canto)?
Canto is available for all active credentialed SHC providers per Medical Staff Office:

Acupuncturist Hospital Staff Perfusionist
Anesthesiologist Marriage and Family Counseling Physical Therapist
APP Student Medical Staff Physician Assistant
Audiologist Medical Student Psychologist
Clinical Nurse Specialist Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Resident
Dental Assistant Nurse Practitioner Speech Pathologist
Fellow Optometrist Stanford Referring Physician
Genetic Counselor    
  1. On the device you wish to register, go to the app store and download Haiku/Canto.
    1. Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.epic.haiku.android

      Haiku (iPhone): https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/epic-haiku/id348308661
  2. Retrieve the Install ID
    For Haiku/Canto
    1. Open the Haiku/Canto application.
    2. Click on "Custom Environment" or "No environments configured" - you maybe be prompted to accept the License Agreement first (click Accept)
      or
    3. Click on Configurations button on top left - you may receive a "Getting Started" screen (Click OK)
      or
    4. Click on Identifier button on bottom left corner
    5. Click on Copy (to paste it into the window that asks for your Device ID in later steps)
      (or Click "Copy" or "Email" to send it to an analyst for manual updates)
      or
    For Android
    1. Open the Haiku application
    2. Click menu -> settings -> about ->Device ID (Click "Copy" or "Email" to send it to an analyst for manual updates)
  3. Open a Safari (iPad/iPhone) or Web browser session and go to go to the website: https://epicmobile.stanfordhospital.org
  4. Sign-in using your SID and Password
  5. Select first option for iOS device and second option for Android device
    1. iPad/iPhone:
      Paste your ID into the input box and select haiko or canto respectively and then press submit
    2. Android:
      Paste your Device ID into the input box (Touch the input and hold to activate the sub menu, select clipboard to paste) and press submit
  6. For both iOS and Android

  7. You will immediately receive an e-mail to the email address on record with the MSO office
  8. You will receive an email once your application has been processed and access has been granted (2-3 business days).

    The email will contain the final instructions to download and access Haiku (iPhone/iPod/Android) or Canto (iPad).
