Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (PAs, NPs, CRNAs), and Medical Students
This information applies to all providers who receive dictation numbers through the Medical Staff Office (MSO), including Attending Physicians, Residents and Fellows, Advanced Practice Providers (PAs, NPs, CRNAs), and Medical Students.
Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers and Medical Students are assigned eLearning once the MSO has notified EpiCenter University of new medical staff. Training is assigned based on department and section, with the exception of Medical Students, who will receive a more generalized training.
Overview of Process:

Epic training is assigned based on department and section, with the exception of Medical Students, who will receive a more generalized training

An automated email is sent when the training has been assigned with login instructions

Once training is complete in the LMS, Epic access will be granted by Access Control within 48 hours
Registering for and Completing Training:

Log into the SHC Learning Management System (LMS)

Username: Your dictation number preceded by leading zeros (6 characters total). If your dictation number is "1234", then your username is "001234".

Password: Your initial password is stanford. You will be asked to change your password upon successful login.

Training is listed under “Training Activities” in the To Do box on your learning homepage.

To register, click the Register button to the right of the curriculum name.

On the next screen click Submit.

To launch, click the Start button next to the course name.

You may need to click the “Expand” arrow to the left of the curriculum name to see the individual courses and the Start button for each one.

Once training is complete in the LMS, Epic access will be granted by Access Control within 48 hours.
