Troubleshooting FAQs
Problem |
Solution |
|---|---|
I’ve completed my training, but the LMS is still saying it’s “Incomplete” |
This is a known issue with the current version of the LMS and can happen regardless of the operating system or internet browser you are using. Please contact EpiCenter University [EpiCenterUniversity] and they can correct the LMS for you. You do not need to repeat the course or module. |
I forgot my password |
Click the link under the Password field to get a temporary password. You can also call the SHC Help Desk at 650-723-3333 or contact EpiCenter University [EpiCenterUniversity] to have your password reset. |
I’m trying to take my eLearning, but there is no Start button to start the course or I get an error message like “You are not authorized to view this page” |
Please contact EpiCenter University [EpiCenterUniversity] and they can correct this issue for you. |
When I click the Start button, it just goes to a page that says “Activity in progress…” I don’t see the e-learning course open up. |
Turn off all pop-up blockers in your internet browser as well as any browser toolbars, such as Google or Yahoo!. Then log out of the LMS and back in. |
The eLearning course isn’t acknowledging my keyboard entries |
This is a known issue with the current version of the LMS. You can pause the course, then click play at the slide with the keyboard entry requirement. The module should advance as though you had entered the keyboard command. |
I was able to log into the LMS and start taking my eLearning, but when I try to log back in to finish it, the browser times out and won’t let me back in. |
This is a rare but known issue with the current version of the LMS. Please contact EpiCenter University [EpiCenterUniversity] and they can help you with this issue. |
I’ve completed my eLearning and it’s complete in the LMS, but I still don’t have Epic access! |
Access Control receives a report daily on LMS users who completed their training the day before. It can take up to 48 hours to activate Epic access. You need to contact the SHC Help Desk at 650-723-3333 to have your Epic access activated. They are the onlyones who can do this. Please do not contact EpiCenter University. |
I’m from the School of Medicine and need Epic access for my research. What do I need to do? |
Follow the instructions to obtain your SID and request Epic access from Access Control, take training and activate your Epic access. |
