Adult Volunteer Program

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Stanford Hospital & Clinics!  We require a continuous six-month commitment of 1 shift per week (3-4 hours per shift).  Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to be eligible.

ROLES

Volunteers serve in four ways:

  • Assisting staff in patient care areas
  • Providing information and service to patients and families
  • Assisting in an clerical or office environment
  • Providing Community Support (example, work/assist aging adults)

We try to accommodate your interests and talents while keeping in mind the needs of our health system. We do not place volunteers for internship, shadowing, or observership positions. Our Rehab program is currently FULL until Winter 2015 and not taking additional volunteers at this time.

TIME COMMITMENT

The minimum commitment is 3 - 4 hours per week for 6 months, on a regularly scheduled basis. Some volunteer programs require a 1-year time commitment.  Unfortunately, we do not have any short-term volunteer opportunities.
