National Volunteer Week will be celebrated April 6th through April 12th .  This week pays special tribute to volunteers across the nation who contribute their time and effort in order to better their communities and the lives of others.  Stanford Hospital & Clinics is very fortunate to have over 900 Adult and High School volunteers who annually contribute over 77,000 hours of service.  National Volunteer Week allows us to pause and formally say thank you to an incredible group of people who dedicate their time and effort positively impacting our patients,
family members and staff!

Make a difference and join our dedicated team!  As a state-of-the-art medical facility, we are committed to excellence in world-class care and personal service.  Volunteers are a vital part of Stanford Hospital’s team, delivering care and compassion!

The Volunteer Resources Department at Stanford Hospital & Clinics requires that candidates interested in volunteering commit to 100 hours of service.  Due to extremely high demand, we require a continuous six-month commitment of 1 shift per week (3-4 hours per shift).

Ideal volunteers for Stanford Hospital & Clinics are:

Volunteers are not shadowing, observing, or interning.  Our volunteers are in non-clinical roles, enhancing the patient experience.  We invite you to learn more about our Adult Program, College Summer Program, and Student Program.
