It is estimated that celiac disease affects as many as 1 in 150 people in the United States. Our Celiac Disease Clinic is one of only a handful in the country and is dedicated to providing cutting edge treatment based on the latest research. Allergic diseases of the intestines including Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) and food allergies are also major areas of interest at Stanford. Our world-renowned researchers are working toward understanding the cause of these diseases and developing new therapies and treatment protocols.
At the Digestive Health Center at Stanford, we take a multidisciplinary team approach to provide patient centered care in the diagnosis and treatment of celiac disease, food allergies, and allergic diseases of the intestines. Nutritionists, immunologists, and gastroenterologists work together to help you manage your condition and improve patient quality of life.
