The Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Stanford Hospital & Clinics uses an interdisciplinary team approach that brings together experts from many fields to address the unique needs of each patient. Our goal is to assist patients in achieving and maintaining the highest functional outcome in a timely manner. Stanford Hospital & Clinics is committed to rehabilitation programming and to the development of a full continuum of services. Cost-effective inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs are supported by our long tradition of excellence in patient care, research and education. 

The Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is a 17-bed licensed facility, provides rehabilitation to adolescents (age 14 & older, and adults and geriatric patients at an acute, intensive level 24 hours a day.

A minimum of three hours of therapy a day is provided and can take place on the unit, within the hospital and outside in the form of community outings.  The unit serves patients with a variety of diagnoses including:
