EBP Fellowship

Stanford Hospital & Clinics (SHC) commitment to professional development extends beyond traditional classes and trainings. As part of this commitment, SHC has offered nurses the opportunity to participate in an Evidence Based Practice Fellowship (EBPF).

The Evidence-Based Practice Fellowship (EBPF), a seven month structured program, offers nurses the opportunity to address a clinical practice problem on their unit. Working with trained coaches, SHC’s Evidence-Based Practice Fellows work through a discovery model to:

Past graduates of the Evidence-Based Fellowship Program have conducted evidence-based practice studies in patient empowerment, infection control practices, palliative care, patient education, wound care and intravenous therapy.  

At the end of the program, graduates present their findings to peers.
