Neurodiagnostic Labs

The Neurodiagnostic Labs team is dedicated to providing a comprehensive battery of neurological testing procedures at Stanford Hospital & Clinics. Neurodiagnostic testing performed in the labs evaluates the functional aspects of the peripheral and central nervous system to aid in the diagnosis of neurological disorders. The Neurodiagnostic Labs provide technical support to the Stanford Epilepsy Center, the Stanford Stroke Center, the Movement Disorders Center and the Neuromuscular Program.

Neurodiagnostic services available for both inpatients and outpatients include:

  • Ambulatory EEG (AEEG)
  • Autonomic testing
  • Botulinum Toxin injections
  • Electroencephalograms (EEG)
  • Electromyograms (EMG)
  • Evoked Potentials (EP)
  • Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring (IONM)
  • Long Term Monitoring for Epilepsy (LTME)
  • Nerve Conduction Studies (NCV)
  • Neuropsychological testing
  • Quantitative Movement Disorder Evaluations
  • Transcranial Doppler (TCD)
