Stanford Hospital & Clinics has attained Magnet® recognition as part of the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program®. This credentialing program for hospitals, which recognizes excellence in nursing, is the highest honor an organization can receive for professional nursing practice. Fewer than 7 percent of U.S. health care organizations have accomplished Magnet status.
We are honored to have been awarded the prestigious 2011 Lantern Award. This award is given to emergency departments that exemplify exceptional practice and innovative performance in the core areas of leadership, practice, education, advocacy and research.
