Our ACGME accredited fellowship is a one year clinical fellowship, sponsored by the hospital. Training covers multiple aspects of sleep medicine including pharmacology of sleep, sleep disordered breathing, insomnia, narcolepsy, pediatric sleep, parasomnias, restless legs syndrome, neuro-degenerative disorders, and orthodontics involving both children and adults. Stanford University Behavioral Sleep Medicine Fellowship Training

The BSM fellowship training program is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and a member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral Internship Center (APPIC). Our program mission is to enable trainees to sufficiently fulfill the eligibility requirements for the Behavioral Sleep Medicine Certification exam.  The program provides 200 to 2,000 hours of supervised Behavioral Sleep Medicine training in a 12-month period, depending on the trainee’s position and funding availability.  In some circumstances the formal training period may be longer than one year, but must be completed within three years.  BSM training is available at the postdoctoral level via a) a full-time clinical track, b) an independent research track with a clinical training component, or c) part-time training opportunities.
