Robson Capasso, MD
Chief of Sleep Surgery, Department of Otolaryngology
Dr. Capasso is Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at Stanford University School of Medicine. He has received a quite comprehensive and unique training. After medical school and residency in Brazil, he pursued a two year Head and Neck Surgery Fellowship at the University of Miami and afterwards a Sleep Medicine Fellowship at Stanford, being one of the few surgeons in the country with such training.
Dr. Capasso's academic and clinical practice is dedicated solely on management of sleep disordered breathing, including obstructive sleep apnea and snoring, particularly on surgical approach for such problems .
His academic focus is on development of new diagnostic approaches and improvement in proper match between surgical procedures for individual patients.
He also is interested in the development of new therapeutic methods for obstructive sleep apnea.
Richard L. Goode, MD 
Chief of Otolaryngology, VA Medical Center
Dr. Goode is Professor of Otolaryngology at Stanford University School of Medicine. His medical school training was at the University of Southern California School of Medicine and he received his Otolaryngology training at Stanford, where he remained on the faculty after completing his residency.
In addition to his practice at Stanford Medical Center, he serves as Chief of Otolaryngology at the Palo Alto V.A. Medical Center.
He has published over 150 papers in the field and is a past President of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Goode has a broad interest of practice but particularly is interested in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with emphasis on nasal reconstruction.
He also specializes in surgical treatment of sleep disorders, particularly obstructive sleep apnea and surgery for the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck tumors.
He also is interested in the rehabilitation of facial nerve injuries, sinus and voice surgery.
