Center for Advanced Lung Disease
Stanford's Center for Advanced Lung Disease (ALD) offers comprehensive specialty care for patients with conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pulmonary hypertension, lymphangeioleiomyomatosis, cystic fibrosis and interstitial lung disease. Since performing the first successful heart-lung transplant over thirty years ago, our team of pulmonary experts continues to develop innovative strategies for the treatment of advanced lung disease. Highlights of our programs include:
- Ranked in the top 10 percent of most active lung-transplant centers nationwide with as many as 50-60 lung transplants each year
- Nationally recognized Cystic Fibrosis Program with one of the largest integrated clinics in the US and the largest adult cystic fibrosis center in California
- Uniquely providing dedicated care for patients with interstitial lung disease
