Symptoms
Women can have different symptoms than men that may indicate a cardiac problem.
While women will often have the traditional symptom of chest pain, this "pain" may actually be a pressure, tightness, squeezing, burning, or something that isn't actually pain. In addition, women are more likely than men to report multiple other symptoms including:
- Shortness of breath
- Nausea/Vomiting
- Arm/shoulder pain, usually left-sided, but may be right-sided
- Abdominal pain
- Back pain or pain radiating to the back
- Neck pain
- Jaw pain
- Fatigue
