Women's Heart Health at Stanford
Stanford is committed to improving the cardiovascular health of women. Cardiovascular disease takes the life of one out of every two women, resulting in nearly 500,000 deaths annually. Our team is dedicated to the improvement of cardiovascular health in women by offering evidence-based, sex-specific, personalized, and comprehensive care including primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular disease.
The Women's Heart Health program at Stanford offers:
- Comprehensive assessment of your risk for cardiovascular disease by looking at specific risk factors and addressing heart symptoms related to women’s health
- Specialized diagnostic evaluation that may include lab work, stress testing, imaging studies, or cardiac catheterization
- Risk management through counseling on therapeutic lifestyle changes, use of pharmaceutical medications, and education that is tailored to meet your specific needs
