How long does it take to get a first appointment?
We strive to see new patients within one to two weeks.
Why does it take so long to get in?
Each of our physicians is scheduled only one day a week to see patients in the clinic. Other time obligations include performing procedures, routine patient management, and research and academic commitments.
What records should I bring to my first appointment?
Once you are scheduled to see one of our cardiology specialists someone from our office should advise you on obtaining medical records if they have not already been received by our office. In general we are interested in the following medical records as applicable to you.
- A complete list of medications and allergies
- Laboratory work within the last year
- Echocardiogram and/or stress test (report and CD)
- Coronary angiogram (report and CD)
- Open heart surgery report
Are Stanford Hospital & Clinics' services covered by insurance?
It is always best to check with your insurance company.
How do I cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Please call our clinic receptionists at (650) 725-2621. They are available Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm to help you with rescheduling or canceling your appointment.
