Stanford Congenital Cardiology specializes in treating adults who were born with congenital heart defects. Our program is known for:
- Talented cardiothoracic surgeons who are leaders in repairing congenital heart lesions in all age groups
- World-class outcomes despite a high percentage of patients with very complex congenital heart problems
- Interventional lists with expertise in ACHD (Amplatzer closure of ASDs'/transcatheter valve replacement/hemodynamic catheterization)
- Radiology and Echocardiology with experience in Adult Congenital Cardiology
- Electrophysiologists with expertise in Adult Congenital Cardiology
- Close relationships with the Maternal-Fetal medicine team
- Close relationships with heart failure and heart and lung transplant
- Coordinated and comprehensive care that fits each patient’s unique needs
- Collaborative research to uncover new therapies and approaches
